I bought ST-08 and want to switch

Hey, I'm not sure if this is a more difficult question to answer, but what do i do with my cards from st-08? For context, I've recently started the game and understand all the core mechanics. However, I'm struggling to find a deck that can use at least a couple of the cards from the set. I bought it without doing much research, and now I'm trying to switch decks. However, I would still like to get the most value for my money. I was debating on a perona or issho deck because both seem like they could work well with koby, shanks, Mr.2 and gum gum pistol ( I don't think these cards would promote maximum synergy but I'm trying to keep expenses relatively low). Researching how I can use these cards has been difficult, so I was just wondering if anybody had any opinions on what they would do in this situation.
